There is a growing belief in the Florida real estate community that this is a pivotal moment for prospective buyers. A Tampa Bay FOX station reports that due in part to rising rents, limited quality real estate on the market, and a lack of volume in the "serious buyer market," now may be the perfect time to buy.
In a true mortgage crisis, renting begins to look more attractive, as you are not only not investing in a house that will decline in value, you are also caving to the fear that your mortgage may swallow you whole. But the fact remains that, in Florida, where 1 in 4 foreigners will buy, rents are rising at a crazy pace too, making a housing payment much more affordable in the long run, especially with the tax deduction.
